The Home As Art

Many believe as I do, your home should be yours. What does that mean? Use colors that appeal to you. Live on furniture that you like. Surround yourself with art that tingles your senses (whether it's yours or someone elses or some of both).

Whatever you do to make your house, your home, remember -- "Stop What You're Doing AND LIVE!"

I do!

This room changes alot. As does most of my house!
Artists just never leave well-enough alone.

The kitchen was renovated using ALL found objects!
Even the faucet was re-used (from a client's kitchen).

I have this comforter. I've always loved it. I guess I love it a little
too much because I handpainted the entire thing on my bed-wall!

The master bath is adorned in pastel versions of a
couple colors used in the master bedroom. This melds the two areas together.

I don't have the guest bath floor tiled yet. I will soon!

Even my collection has a cool room!
It's painted in silver paint with a large art piece on one wall.

Here are Pixiwhix and Trixie, papier' mache' sculptures
of creatures that do not exist. They "live" in my sunroom.

The vintage lamps project:
The coolest lamps EVER made! Re-loved by me.

Yes, this guy entertains while I'm away, surely.
He's a big sculpt; his head turns side to side and his arms are articulated.

This is why I do not throw away vintage Crissy family doll parts.

More papier' mache' wildlife: Merrecho, a water sprite.
